Of is a preposition which by definition denotes the origin or source of the subject ..... For example. The Word of God, The Body of Christ, the man of God . The of in each of these subject statements give recognition that God is the source of the subject. Remove the of and what do you have left? Recently someone said they would never call someone "The man of God." I thank God that He gave gifts and sent men for the saving of my soul. I pray that I never lose sight of the fact that there are men of God, that there is the Word of God that they preach, and that there is a Body of Christ.
